By staying closely connected with drivers, operational staff, and leaders, Audra emphasizes driver retention, safety, leadership development, and positive employee relations. Bill serves as the Director of Safety for the company. He is a Certified Director of Safety with over 32 years of experience in transportation safety. His core expertise is regulatory compliance and the development of effective safety and driver training programs that reduce risk, improve compliance, and minimize liability for the company.
Bill focuses on leveraging technology to identify specific driver behaviors so issues can be addressed quickly, while also recognizing and reinforcing positive performance. Equally important, he works to build strong relationships and trust with our drivers, which supports their success and strengthens Freymiller’s overall safety culture.
As Director of Maintenance at Freymiller, Doug oversees a wide range of operational areas, including asset management and facility maintenance. Doug’s core expertise lies in understanding the complex systems and construction of modern trucking equipment, allowing him to effectively manage, maintain, and optimize the assets that keep the fleet running efficiently.
Doug’s primary focus is maximizing uptime while ensuring drivers are provided with safe, reliable equipment every day. He is continually evaluating conditions, processes, and behaviors that could impact Freymiller’s strong culture of safety—from technician procedures to housekeeping and building maintenance. By actively contributing to decisions around purchasing new equipment, he plays a key role in influencing the long-term reliability, safety, and performance of the fleet.
Betsy Waldrop is Vice President of Driver Resources at Freymiller, overseeing driver recruiting, orientation, training, retention, and lease purchase programs. With 31 years in the trucking industry, her core expertise is driver recruiting and company branding, she is widely recognized in the transportation industry as a leader in the field.
Betsy focuses on a people-first approach to recruiting and driver support, recognizing that the industry is about individuals, not numbers. This human-centered focus strengthens the driver experience and directly supports improved retention and long-term engagement at Freymiller.
Lex Mendenhall serves as Vice President of Operations at Freymiller, overseeing all trucking operations. He brings more than 41 years of experience in the trucking industry, with the majority of his career spent in leadership roles. In his position, Lex is deeply committed to looking out for the needs of Freymiller’s drivers, ensuring they have the support, resources, and leadership necessary to succeed. His extensive experience in personnel management and operations helps drive efficiency while maintaining a strong, people-first culture.
Lex’s primary focus at Freymiller is to manage and maximize service for our external customers while promoting the Freymiller brand as Best in Class through consistent, high-quality performance. He and his team support more than 700 drivers—whom Lex refers to as Freymiller’s internal customers—by managing driver utilization, home time, and overall service experience. A key measure of success for his organization is driver retention, reflecting Freymiller’s commitment to long-term relationships and operational excellence.
As a senior financial leader at Freymiller, John serves as a trusted business partner providing strategic, operational, and financial oversight while acting as a responsible steward of the company’s assets. John brings more than 35 years of financial management experience, including 15 years as Chief Financial Officer, with a focus on strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, and board-level reporting.
John’s focus is on maintaining Freymiller’s financial strength and stability through effective working capital management, financial planning, and performance oversight. John also leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support sustainable profitability and long-term growth across all areas of the organization, helping ensure continued support for our drivers and customers.
Dennis serves as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Freymiller, overseeing rates, lane network strategy, and customer relationships. With a lifetime in the trucking industry, his experience is deeply rooted in freight operations and long-term customer partnership development.
Dennis focuses on disciplined business development and lane network management, prioritizing long-term customer relationships within Freymiller’s established network. By concentrating capacity in centralized lanes and bidding strategically, he helps deliver consistent service, operational stability, and sustainable growth—reinforcing Freymiller’s reputation as a reliable, relationship-driven carrier.
David Freymiller is the CEO and owner of Freymiller, where he sets the direction and standards for the company, particularly in the areas of equipment and technology. One of the reasons Freymiller is known for the quality of its trucks and trailers is his deep industry experience and hands-on knowledge of today’s equipment.
